Virtual College & Career Preparation Fellowship Program
"Our Virtual College Preparation Fellowship Program Uses A More-Than-Academic Approach"
We combine mentorship, identity-affirming, and socio-emotional activities, along with community gatherings, to support students’ identities and well-being before, during, and after college. We assist high school juniors and seniors in three ways:

1:1 Mentorship
Students collaborate closely with a mentor who will assist you in creating a list of colleges and universities, writing your personal statements, and achieving your goals throughout the application process.

Identity-Affirming & Socioemotional Activities
Students start each mentoring session with activities designed to build confidence, affirm identity, and recognize lived experiences. We also utilize this space to tackle racial, cultural, and socioeconomic tensions related to college preparation and the transition process. We partner with you to support you in processing your emotions throughout the college application journey.

Monthly Community Gatherings
Connect with and learn from fellow high school juniors and seniors. We'll cover various topics, from financial aid to scholarships and effective professor communication. Together, we'll foster community and a sense of belonging as you all transition from high school to college.
Testimonials

“
LitiArts provided me with so much support during the college application process and helped me showcase my efforts and talents effectively on my college applications. My mentor also helped me answer questions about the college process.

My LitiArts mentor helped me during my freshman year with literally everything. They directed me to campus resources and connected me with a Resident Physician at George Washington University Hospital. The doctor provided me with pre-med resources and gave me tips in preparation for med school

I was very anxious because I felt behind with my application deadlines, so we did a visualization activity. I felt less anxious and more confident about moving forward with my applications. LitiArts provided less stress and reminded me to take everything in small steps.
